Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a really gorgeous example of a WWI-made pillowcase for the mother or family of a soldier in Company E, 114th Ammunition Train, 89th Division. The 89th Division was one of the more battle-torn divisions of the war, and was 2nd in Artillery Captured (127 Guns) and 3rd in German Prisoners captured (5061). These are difficult to find with such specific units. The pillowcase measures 22 x 22”.

These would normally have a string connecting the two pieces, but this one doesn’t, so it will need a replacement if this is to be used on a pillow. Pillowcases from this era are common, but examples with unit markings this specific are VERY scarce. This one is in good shape with some mothing but overall great. Comes ready for further research and display.
